CYDA – Rekindling Hope: The transformative journey

Introduction:

In the heart of a small village lies Z P School Vadapurevasti, where young Sanskar Ratnakar Baral, a bright-eyed class II student, embarked on a remarkable transformation journey. Initially plagued by frequent absences and a lack of interest in school during class I, Sanskar’s plight caught the attention of the dedicated CYDA staff. His teachers and parents noticed his disengagement, but they didn’t know how to support him. His mother, though caring, found it difficult to help with his studies at home, and Sanskar’s motivation continued to fade.

“School is just boring,” Sanskar often says, feeling disconnected from the lessons and the classroom. His spark seemed to fade, and it appeared he might fall through the cracks.

Reigniting the Spark: New tools and teaching methods through CYDA

Recognizing the urgency of Sanskar’s disengagement, CYDA took immediate action by conducting home visits to understand the root causes of his struggles. The visits revealed that traditional teaching methods were not capturing his interest, which led to frequent absences and a lack of motivation. Understanding the need for a change, CYDA implemented a series of innovative educational strategies by introducing innovative games, digital education, turning the classroom into a vibrant space that aimed at reigniting Sanskar’s passion for learning. However, despite his renewed enthusiasm, Sanskar realized he had fallen behind academically. The gap between him and his peers seemed large, and he struggled with self-doubt. This marked the beginning of a transformative journey for the young boy.

Overcoming the setbacks – CYDA’s support & Family Involvement

The transformation did not stop at school. Sanskar’s mother, inspired by CYDA staff, became an active participant in his education. She ensured that Sanskar studied every day, creating a supportive and encouraging study atmosphere at home. This consistent reinforcement helped solidify the progress Sanskar was making in school. His ability to perform addition and subtraction with two-digit numbers reflects his progress in mathematics, a subject that once seemed overwhelming. He is now dictating words in both Marathi and English and confidently performing addition and subtraction with two-digit numbers. Through the dedication of CYDA and the unwavering commitment of his family, Sanskar has overcome the barriers that once hindered his academic growth. His transformation is not just academic; it is a profound change in his attitude towards learning and life. The shy, disengaged boy who once struggled to attend school now embraces each day with enthusiasm and a thirst for knowledge. His success stands as a shining example of what can be achieved when a community comes together to support its children, fulfilling the mission of CYDA and inspiring all who hear his story.
