Introduction Early Struggles of Aadesh
In the heart of Raman Vasti, Yerwada, lived a young boy named Aadesh Govind Rathore. At just 13 years old, Aadesh’s journey from struggle to success is both inspiring and heart-warming. Born into a modest family, Aadesh understood the harsh realities of life early on. His father labored tirelessly and his mother worked as a maid in HDFC Bank, making ends meet with great difficulty. Alongside his elder sister Priyanka, Aadesh faced these challenges with resilience and determination.
Quiet struggles at an early age
Aadesh’s life was of quiet struggles and muted hopes. His days were filled with the pains of insecurity and the heavy burden of financial constraints. Yet, beneath the surface of his everyday challenges, Aadesh harbored a flicker of hope—a hope that, despite the darkness, there might be a chance for a better future. This hope, though faint, was a lifeline, guiding him through his struggles and fueling his dreams of a brighter tomorrow.
A Turning point – Joining CYDA
In 2021, Aadesh’s life took a pivotal turn when he joined the Centre for Youth Development and Activities, which offered him a sense of belonging and a pathway to growth. Through its Community Resource Centre (CRC), Aadesh discovered a sanctuary of support and opportunity, transforming his outlook on life. After school, he would eagerly head to the CRC, where he was welcomed with open arms. Here, Aadesh received remedial classes in Mathematics and Science, two subjects where he had always struggled. These classes were not just academic sessions; they were a lifeline, providing him with the knowledge and confidence he desperately needed. With the personalized attention and encouragement from the CRC’s dedicated mentors, Aadesh’s academic performance began to improve. But more importantly, these sessions sparked a sense of hope within him. For the first time, he could envision a future where his dreams and aspirations could become a reality, giving him the strength to push forward despite the challenges.
Discovering a New Passion: Football
However, the CRC was not just an academic haven for Aadesh; it was also a place where his passions began to flourish. Among the various activities offered, football quickly captured his heart. The solidarity and excitement of the sport inspired him, and soon, Aadesh found himself deeply immersed in the world of football. His days became a blend of exhilarating matches and growing self-confidence, as each game brought him closer to his teammates and built a bond of friendship. The joy of kicking the ball around and playing with friends gave him more than just physical fitness—it provided him with a sense of belonging and accomplishment that he had never experienced before.
Hidden Talents Uncovered: Drawing
Yet, football was not the only field where Aadesh excelled. In the nurturing environment of CRC, he also discovered a hidden talent for drawing. With guidance and encouragement from CYDA mentors, he delved deeper into this creative outlet. His dedication to this newfound passion paid off when he participated in a National drawing competition, securing a silver medal. This achievement was not only a personal triumph for Aadesh but also a moment of immense pride for his family, marking a significant milestone in his journey toward self-discovery and fulfillment.
Personal Growth & confidence
Perhaps the most profound transformation in Aadesh’s life was the confidence he gained through CYDA. The physical and emotional growth he experienced through football and life skills sessions helped him shed his self-doubt. As he grew stronger and more assured, he began to walk with confidence, speak with conviction, and dream ambitiously. No longer held back by fear, Aadesh found his voice in discussions and debates, contributing ideas with newfound self-assurance.
